This brief asked for a new packaging solution and the development of branding for both the packaging and product range. The Octobox was developed to be a reusable packaging solution for premium yarn cakes. It protects the yarn during transit and when in use by the consumer. Once the initial yarn has been used, the Octobox can be used as a yarn bowl replacement for any other yarn, providing a sustainable, long lasting packaging option.
This particular Octobox features the branding developed for the range, subsequent releases of the Octobox will be available in various colours and prints with minimal branding. This creative direction will assist in the Octobox being used long after the initial purchase as consumers can choose one that appeals to them or their decor.
